A test of IQ is the precursor to academic potential. The WRIT helps to identify difficulties. The WRAT5 provides exact current achievement levels. Both results are presented as standardised scores and, more helpfully for parents, percentile ranks. Please ask for details of these psychometric tests and others available. If we know what's in the box, we can teach even more precisely.
Most primitive reflexes naturally integrate as the child develops but occasionally some or all of these early reflexes may be retained. This causes children to have additional physical motor and mental challenges which may otherwise not exist.
Through a specific program of activities, these retained reflexes can be better integrated, enabling children to feel more comfortable in themselves.
You will be referred to my specialist colleague - a Neurodevelopmental Consultant & Therapist - and asked to complete a detailed background history form prior to being invited to discuss needs and concerns face to face, with your child.
